Hannah Pedley
Hannah Pedley is a diverse artist, equally happy performing on the opera stage and concert platform.
Since leaving the Royal Northern College of Music she has performed with many British opera companies, forming special relationships with Buxton Festival, Holland Park Opera and Second Movement where she has sung in many productions. Other highlights include Romeo, I Capuleti e i Montecchi at Grange Park and on tour with Pimlico Opera, Nancy, Albert Herring for New Kent Opera, the roles of Duck and Policeman in ROH2's Linbury Theatre production of Wind in the Willows, Princess Death, Cocteau in the Underworld for ROH2 at Brighton Festival and Smeton, Anna Bolena and Orlofsky, Die Fledermaus for Swansea City Opera.
Hannah has performed all of the main (and some more obscure) oratorio repertoire and given recitals and opera galas in Europe and South America. She has toured Spain with Harry Christophers and the Sixteen, sung the role of Olga in Onegin with I Maestri at St John's Smith Square and with London Festival Opera in Russia and has sung with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra on several occasions.
Future engagements include Messiah with Les Agremens in Belgium, Mahler 3 with the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra, further workshops for Turnage's Anna Nicole Smith at the Royal Opera House and in 2010 the title role in Carmen for Holland Park Opera. Hannah is the mezzo soloist on an album of Gilbert and Sullivan highlights recently recorded for Sony which was released in November 2008 and will be guest artist on a new version of A Child is Born to be released for Christmas 2009.
