Where We Meet

All our concerts are presented in Gloucester Cathedral and we rehearse in the Cathedral's historic Chapter House.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm (but please see the notes below the Rehearsal Schedule). New members are asked to attend an audition with the Conductor more details below (each season has a set audition date but individual auditions can be arranged if this is more convenient).

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Autumn "Term"
Rehearsals begin	Monday 10th September 2007
Thereafter every Monday until 26th December EXCEPT	Monday 22nd October 2007
Additional rehearsal	Thursday 15th November 2007
Spring "Term"
Rehearsals begin	Monday 14th January 2008
Special Saturday rehearsal	Saturday 26th January 2008 (10am to 12pm & 1pm to 3pm)
Thereafter every Monday until 17th March EXCEPT	Monday 18th February 2008
Additional rehearsals	21st & 28th April 2008 and 1st May 2008
Note: There will always be a compulsory rehearsal on the day of the concert

 

NOTES:

Minimum rehearsal attendance: members need to attend a minimum number of rehearsals for each work in order to sing in the concert. These minima will be advised later:

Any member unable to meet the minimum rehearsal attendance requirement may only sing in the concert with the express permission of the Conductor.

 

AUDITIONS 2007/8 SESSION

New Members auditions and Existing Members re-audition

New members are asked to attend rehearsals from the start of the session to get to know members of the society before deciding whether to present themselves for audition along with existing members. For more details on auditions, please contact The Membership Secretary (01452 535319).
