Fundraising

Like many musical societies, we find that subscriptions and ticket sales don’t cover the cost of each concert. We have other schemes to raise extra money, and we hope that in time you will want to join one or more of these.

175 Club

The 175 Club provides an enjoyable way of raising money for the Society while offering the possibility of cash prizes on a regular basis.  Membership is open to all members of the Society as well as its Benefactors.  Shares may be purchased at a cost of £1 per month, and there is no limit to the number of shares a member can hold.  Payment for each share is made quarterly by standing order.  Draws are held regularly throughout the year, with two prizes awarded at each draw, subject to the total sum subscribed.   Profits from the 175 Club are directed towards the cost of soloists for the Society’s annual programme of concerts.

To join the 175 Club simply complete this form (insert link to form) and email to 175@gloucesterchoral.com or hand to Caroline McGaughey (alto) in person at a rehearsal. If you have any questions, please ask Caroline.

Benefactors Scheme

The Benefactors scheme is open both to singing members and to those outside the society. Benefactors are acknowledged publicly on the website and in our concert programmes. They are also entitled to additional benefits dependent on the level of support. See the Benefactors page to find out more or email the Benefactors Manager, Anthea Holland (alto) on benefactors@gloucesterchoral.com
